Recruiting Timeline

As you prepare for your internship and job searches, please see below for steps to take during each phase of your accounting coursework:

GBA 146: Exploring Your Path

  • Attend Meet the Firms and/or the General Business Career Fair to grow comfortable with the environment and conversation topics
  • Resume Preparation and Review

Intro to Accounting (AC 210 or 211) and GBA 246: Choosing your Path

  • Update Resume and submit to Career Center Advisors for review
  • Attend Meet the Firms and/or the General Business Career Fair to inquire about opportunities for accountants within each firm/company and consider which might fit you and your goals
  • Schedule initial Mock Interview through Handshake

Financial Reporting & Analysis of Business Activities I & II (AC 310 & 311) and GBA 346: Pursuing Your Path

  • Update Resume and submit for review
  • Attend Meet the Firms and/or the General Business Career Fair to discuss potential internship and full-time opportunities
  • Schedule Mock Interview through Handshake
  • Interview for Summer Leadership Programs and Internships

Senior Year

  • Update Resume and submit for review
  • Attend Meet the Firms and/or the General Business Career Fair to secure an internship or full-time position
  • Interview for internship or full-time position
  • Complete Internship
  • Study for and take the GMAT during the summer prior to or fall semester of Senior year
  • Apply to the MAcc or MTA program
